CANADA POLITICS: Because Our Government is a Servant of U.S.

CANADA POLITICS: Because Our Government is a Servant of U.S.

Nations like Canada can choose their own path, their own destiny in peaceful cooperation with the nations and peoples of the world, with Russia and Venezuela. The problem is how the people of Canada, and, indeed, all nations, can escape this domination and survive it. Unfortunately, with the continentalists still in control in Washington and Ottawa, New York and Toronto, and with American control of the economic resources at an intolerable level, the situation looks bleak for the immediate future.

Canadians are nothing more than servants in their own house, when, to use the phrase of the Quebec nationalists in their struggle for self determination, we should be “maître chez nous,” masters of our own house. Instead our government is a servant of Washington and will suffer any humiliation and disadvantage that these sanctions will undoubtedly bring upon us in order to lick the hand that pats its head.

UK POLITICS: Britain Expands Project on Mental Health in Terrorism Nationwide

UK POLITICS: Britain Expands Project on Mental Health in Terrorism Nationwide

Mark Rowley, Britain’s most senior counter-terrorism officer, told the British Medical Journal in April that a disproportionate number of suspects in 13 attacks foiled by British police since 2013 had mental health issues.

“If part of the terrorist methodology is to prey on the vulnerable … then it stands to reason that there will be people with certain mental health conditions who will be … susceptible to that,” he said.

“Radicalising and inciting someone who is vulnerable to go and carry out some ghastly attack seems to be part of their tactics, and that has brought in a whole load of vulnerability issues, including mental health, that we now have to wrestle with,” said Rowley.

AFRICA POLITICS: Despite Secessionist Sentiment Africa Still Holding Together

AFRICA POLITICS: Despite Secessionist Sentiment Africa Still Holding Together

Africa has seen multiple civil wars and assorted secessionist movements arising from the illogicality of these borders. In the immediate aftermath of independence, both Katanga, the mineral-endowed Congolese province, and Biafra, in south-east Nigeria, sought to break away. When Biafran independence was crushed by the Nigerian military in the war of 1967-70, it sent a message around the continent about the high cost of separatism.

It is a minor miracle that African states have held together. Porous borders and a sense of pan-Africanism help. But states cannot take their integrity for granted. All must strive to make minorities feel part of a greater whole. If they do not, the centre will not hold forever.

USA POLITICS: Female Lawmakers Allege Harassment By Colleagues in House

USA POLITICS: Female Lawmakers Allege Harassment By Colleagues in House

Republican Rep. Mary Bono said she found power in confronting her harasser, and that after she did so it never happened again. She emphasized that she understood her experience was different than those of young staffers who may face harassment from someone they rely on for a job, and that she was fortunate because as an equal elected by her constituents, she would not fear retaliation.

But Bono strongly disputed any suggestion that she or any other female lawmaker could not be harassed by their peers.

“My career didn’t suffer, I didn’t suffer,” Bono said. “But it did happen.”

USA POLITICS: US Pursues Direct Diplomacy With North Korea Despite Trump Rejection

USA POLITICS: US Pursues Direct Diplomacy With North Korea Despite Trump Rejection

Word of quiet engagement with Pyongyang comes despite Trump’s comments, North Korea’s weapons advances and suggestions by some U.S. and South Korean officials that Yun’s interactions with North Koreans had been reined in.

“It has not been limited at all, both (in) frequency and substance,” said the senior State Department official.

Among the points that Yun has made to his North Korean interlocutors is to “stop testing” nuclear bombs and missiles, the official said.

North Korea this year conducted its sixth and most powerful nuclear detonation and has test-fired a volley of missiles, including intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) that, if perfected, could in theory reach the United States mainland.

NIGERIA POLITICS: Governors Back Buhari as APC Defers Decision on Automatic Ticket

Regarding the issue of an automatic ticket for the president, Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong said all the APC governors had resolved that they would work for a return ticket for Buhari, adding that the party does not have anyone that could match Buhari for the ticket at the moment.

“I want to say that if Mr. President is performing, is well respected and carrying everybody along, all of us have resolved that we will work for him. Do we have any other person that will challenge the president again? Whatever you call it, as far as we are concerned, we have one president and that is the ticket we will fly,” he said.

SOUTH AFRICA POLITICS: Revealed! Jacob Zuma Darkest Secret Takes Center Stage

SOUTH AFRICA POLITICS: Revealed! Jacob Zuma Darkest Secret Takes Center Stage

At the end of March 2011, the Russian multinational Norilsk Nickel said in a press statement that Vladimir Strzhalkovsky had visited Jacob Zuma and had handed the president a Russian mobile telemedicine laboratory at Nkandla. Siyabonga Cwele was present at the ceremony.

Norilsk said in its statement: “Jakob [sic] Zuma expressed high opinion of the Company’s current projects in the country. He emphasized that South Africa is ready to proceed with supporting the participation of Norilsk Nickel in new ore extraction and processing projects in South Africa.”

“But that is not the end of it,” said my source. “The medical equipment wasn’t all that SARS detained on that day at the airport.”

“What else?”

“There was also a lot of cash on that plane. A lot.

“SARS detained the entire plane with everything on board. When Cwele moved in, he took over the whole shipment, including the money. The money was also not declared and therefore illegally imported. Its origin and destination were never determined. But I think it makes sense that the clinic and the money had the same end destination.”

CATALONIA POLITICS: Catalan History. Catalan Background

CATALONIA POLITICS: Catalan History. Catalan Background

Proud of its own identity and language, Catalonia is one of Spain’s richest and most highly industrialised regions, and also one of the most independent-minded.
With a distinct history stretching back to the early middle ages, many Catalans think of themselves as a separate nation from the rest of Spain.

This feeling is fed by memories of the Franco dictatorship, which attempted to suppress Catalan identity, and is nowhere more clearly expressed than in the fierce rivalry between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, Spain’s top football clubs.

NIGERIA POLITICS: The Vindication Of Justice Ayo Salami

NIGERIA POLITICS: The Vindication Of Justice Ayo Salami

So Justice Ayo Salami was forced out of the judiciary. The party threw a ball, they got the judgments they desired on the Wamakko and presidential petition cases, Katsina_Alu went on retirement, Musdapher became Chief Justice. Justice was interred. Electoral manipulation continued unchallenged and everybody went to sleep.

All said, Justice Ayo Salami is a positive totem Nigerian judges should hold high. I believe that is what the NJC wants to advertise by this strategic appointment. He is a proof that truth can never ever be buried and the just can never get crushed by evil and its disciples.
