Human Rights Watch called for Myanmar to punish army and police commanders if they allowed troops to rape and sexually assault women and girls of the Rohingya Muslim minority.
“They are all unjust acts by a traditional society, far more restrictive than what is lawfully allowed by the precepts of religion,” Prince Alwaleed said.
“One day he demanded to have sex with me. I refused but he forced me,” A 17-year-old girl said she was raped by a policeman.
Human Rights Watch says South Africas withdrawal from the International Criminal Court is an enormous blow to its commitment to justice for atrocity crimes.
