Kim Jong Nam and Kim Jong Un are both sons of former North Korean leader Kim Jong Il, who died in late 2011, but they had different mothers.

North Korea fired three ballistic missiles into the sea off its east coast on Monday, South Korea’s military said.
“We are still analyzing details but this is a grave threat to our nation’s security, and we express deep concern,” Japan Defence Ministry said.
Kim took power in 2011 after the death of his father, Kim Jong Il, and his consolidation of power has included purges and executions of top officials, South Korean officials have said.
“The members of Security Council deplore all Democratic People’s Republic of Korea ballistic missile activities,” the statement said, referring to North Korea by its formal name.
Thae Yong-ho’s defection follows a string of recent such flights by North Koreans, including 12 waitresses at a North Korean restaurant in China who defected to South Korea earlier this year.
The missile appeared to be a Rodong-type medium-range missile that flew about 1,000 km (620 miles), it said.
