Red Notice: How I Became Putin’s No. 1 Enemy Book Description
Corruption, dirty politics and murder in Russia – told by one of Putin’s Most Wanted.

Bill Browder: About the Author
Bill Browder, founder and CEO of Hermitage Capital Management, was the largest foreign investor in Russia until 2005, when he was denied entry to the country after exposing widespread corruption. Since 2009, when his lawyer Sergei Magnitsky was murdered in Russian police custody, he has been leading a global campaign to expose human rights abuses endemic in Russia.

Consequentially, the ‘Sergei Magnitsky Rule of Law Accountability Act’ was signed into US law in 2012, imposing visa bans and asset freezes on certain officials involved in Magnitsky’s death. Browder is currently working to have similar legislation passed across the European Union and Canada.

Readers’ Review

Samandalinoz: 5.0 out of 5 stars – Extraordinary book
When I first started reading this book I thought it was going to be a wealthy hedge fund manager blowing smoke up his own back side. I nearly stopped reading it. I am so glad I didn’t. This is an extraordinary, true, story which highlights the large scale corruption in Russian business, government, justice system and security service. It is as intense as any thriller I have ever read. I don’t want to say much more as you simply have to read it to understand. What I initially thought to be one man’s ego trip resulted in my having absolute admiration for the courage and determination of Bill Prowder and his struggle for justice.
