Born in Yonkers, New York in 1960, James Comey began his rise as a government prosecutor after graduating from the University of Chicago Law School in 1985. He was appointed U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York in 2001, and in 2003 he became deputy attorney general. In 2013, Comey was confirmed as director of the FBI.
