UK POLITICS: 5 Year Old Syrian Girl Dies in ‘Concentration Camp’ Funded By UK Taxpayers

“I crawled inside and the blankets on the floor were wet, it was so cold and dirty and damp,” Daliah, a volunteer and former protection team employee who visited the family, told RT UK.

“Their daughter had just died and they were left there. They had nothing. No visit from a psychiatrist. The mother was silent. They were in shock and the children were saying ‘my sister died – she died just here.’

“There was a volunteer there in tears. He told me they just pulled her out like a dog and took her away. There was no dignity.”

Following her “unexplained” death, her tiny body was buried without an Islamic funeral and without her mother being present.

“She became nothing but a number – she didn’t even get her last respect,” Daliah said.

UK POLITICS: Deadlock! Brexit Talks Hit Money Impasse

Barnier made clear, however, that despite new momentum from concessions given by May in a speech at Florence lsat month 22, British proposals on expatriate citizens’ rights and the Irish border still failed the EU test, while London’s refusal to spell out a detailed cash offer was “very worrying” for business.

“Regarding that question, we are at an impasse, which is very worrying for thousands of projects everywhere in Europe and also worrying for those who contribute,” EU’s Michel Barnier said.

With signs that nerves are fraying on both sides and some hardline Brexit supporters demanding that Theresa May just walk out of talks, both negotiators repeated that they were ready for any eventuality including a collapse. But, Barnier warned, “no deal would be a very bad deal”.

UK POLITICS: ‘Wait for Leave Voters to Die, Then Rejoin EU’: Richard Branson’s Brexit Strategy

UK POLITICS: ‘Wait for Leave Voters to Die, Then Rejoin EU’: Richard Branson’s Brexit Strategy

“The older generation is dying off. Whether there’s a second referendum before Brexit happens, I’m sure the Tory party will do their best not to allow that to happen, within five years there will be a government in power in Britain that will ask Europe for a chance for Britain to re-enter,” Sir Richard Branson said the billionaire.

“And because there are so many young people who will be a little older by then, and so many older [people] who voted for Brexit will have died off, I think Britain will become a part of Europe again.”

“Britain was doing really well before the Brexit announcement. Since the Brexit announcement, we’ve dropped to the bottom of all European countries, as far as Brexit is concerned, and this is just a taste of what is going to happen,” Sir Branson said.

UK POLITICS: High Court Verdict! Torture Survivors Defeat Home Office ‘Unlawful’ Rules on Asylum Seeker

“The Home Office said that detention will not affect me because I am not a victim of torture. It is difficult to believe that the Home Office could happily detain me knowing that I was tortured. It affected me greatly to be subjected to this unlawful policy. It has left a scar in my life that will never be healed.

“Although I welcome the decision, it is still upsetting that the Home Office, who should protect people like me, rejected me and put me in detention which reminded me of the ordeal I suffered in my country of origin.

“I hope that the decision will benefit other survivors of torture held in immigration detention and it will prevent the Home Office from implementing a policy that will hurt vulnerable individuals in the future.”

UK POLITICS: 27 EU Countries Quickly Reject Theresa May’s Transition Deal Plan

In the speech the Prime Minister Theresa May suggested there should be a transition period once the UK leaves the EU, which she referred to as an “interim implementation period”. This would see the UK stay in the single market for two years after Brexit in exchange for continuing to pay into the EU budget and continuing to obey EU rules and regulations.

But when the EU’s chief Brexit negotiator Michael Barnier met with ambassadors from the remaining 27 EU countries the idea was reportedly quickly rejected by Berlin and Paris.

UK POLITICS: Knives Sharpen: 30 Conservative MPs Back Plot to Topple Theresa May

Former party chairman, Grant Shapps, said May’s leadership should now be challenged.

“I think she should call a leadership election,” Shapps told BBC Radio 5 live. After May’s bungled election, her failure to unite the cabinet and a poor party conference, “the writing is on the wall,” he said.

Many Conservative activists fear a leadership contest would exacerbate the divide in the party over Europe, an issue that helped sink the previous three Conservative prime ministers – David Cameron, John Major and Margaret Thatcher.

UK POLITICS: CoughGate, Prankster Simon Brodkin Mar Theresa May Speech to Activists (VIDEO)

British Prime Minister Theresa May’s speech sought to offer party activists a renewal of Conservative values while making new promises to a younger generation and those “just about managing”.

“This is a Conservatism I believe in, a Conservatism of fairness and justice and opportunity for all, a Conservatism that keeps the British dream alive for a new generation. That’s what I‘m in this for,” she said, in a phrase she repeated at least eight times. “That’s what we must all be in this for.”

But her flow was interrupted by British comedian Simon Brodkin, who handed her a P45 letter, a document given to employees when they leave their job. Then May began a coughing fit and was repeatedly forced to take drinks of water, even coughing into her glass, and was proffered a lozenge from her finance minister, Philip Hammond.
