YEMEN POLITICS: UN Blacklists Saudi, Allies for Killing Yemeni Kids

Saudi Ambassador to the UN Abdallah al-Mouallimi declined to comment before the report is officially released. The Saudi UN mission had claimed in August that there was “no justification whatsoever” for blacklisting the coalition.

The new draft report also lists a series of children rights violations by militants loyal to the former Yemeni government, fighters of Yemen’s Ansarullah groups and Takfiri al-Qaeda terrorists.

“A military source said (Houthi) air defense shot down a U.S. MQ-9 surveillance drone in Jader area in the Sanaa province,” SABA reported. The charred wreckage of the aircraft was carried out by the Houthis aboard a Toyota pickup truck.

A Reuters photographer said the drone came down at around 11 am local time in a crowded area on the outskirts of the capital, but there were no reports of any casualties.
